W e know some of you ladies used to play dress up with your mother’s pearls, high heels and have tea parties with your dolls and teddy bears when you were just a little girl. It seems like it is every girl’s dream to become a princess or a first lady, looking very prim and proper in beautiful dresses and shiny diamonds.

We used to look up to Lady Di for her natural beauty and impeccable style. She was just so perfect that we always wondered how she managed to put herself together all the time. And now we have Kate Middleton who we can easily identifiy with for her ability to mix and match, and recycle her clothes for public appearances.

Another lady with much applauded style is Michelle Obama. She may not be royalty but her personal style is highly praised and definitely befitting for her status. In celebration of her husband Barrack Obama’s win in the U.S Election recently, perhaps you should get yourself the first-lady makeover. Who knows – your future “presidential candidate” might just be around the corner, waiting to make you his “first-lady”.

1. Michelle Obama is all about her arms. She always wears dresses or tops that accentuate her toned arms. If you have great arms, flaunt them. Who says you have to wear short skirts and show your cleavage to add a little bit of sexiness to your look?

2. Cardigans are Mrs. Obama’s choice for cover-ups. She likes to wear a cardigan over her dress to achieve the sixties lady-like look.

3. Color is another important element in Michelle Obama’s outfit. She always opts for bright colors like red, green and yellow when it comes to public appearances.

4. If you are really tall, you can do it like Michelle Obama and wear a lot of cute flats or kitten heels (whenever you need a little bit of height) to complement your outfits. Sometimes it’s more polite not to tower above everybody else.

Now what do you think? Would you stick to your usual denim shorts and tank top for the weekend, or switch it up with a flouncy skirt and cardigan ala Michelle Obama?
