Steal Lauren Conrad’s Double Liner Make up Trick

L ast week we gave the rundown on Lauren Conrad’s success stories and fashion. Now let’s take a closer look at her fetching makeup style.

Lauren Conrad really does love her cat-eye liners, doesn’t she!

Her customary go-to look is cat-eye liners with the rest of her face au naturel so her eyes stand out more. Occasionally she spices up her makeup with bright lips or she goes vampy with a dark red lipstick.

Just like her flair in fashion, there are times when Lauren gives some zest to the basics of her makeup. So here is a short tutorial on how to steal one of Lauren’s easygoing styles of makeup – but with a twist!

Step 1

Using a white eye liner, draw a slightly thick line on your upper lashes. It’s better to use a gel liner than a cream eye pencil as that can crease way too easily and can end up looking cakey.

Step 2

Draw cat-eye liners near to the roots of your upper lashes. Make sure the thickness is about half of the white liner we drew earlier on.

Step 3

Add a coat of mascara; one coat is enough as to not overpower the intricacy of the double liner with too-heavy lashes.

Step 4

Lauren has this really sweet warm peachy red on the apple of her cheeks so grab your most similar coloured blusher and add that on. I decided to go really light on my blush, since this was a daytime look for me whereas Lauren was on a red carpet event in that photo.

Step 5

I wish I have that shade of amazing fuchsia she has on her lips! If you don’t either, we can make do with a similar purplish hot pink shade, or you are most welcomed to mix and match a few shades of lipsticks! It’s a great way to save up on buying different coloured lipsticks. You can opt to add a gloss on top but I went matte with my lips here.
