W e were on the VIP list of one of the hottest events of the year; Passion For Fashion at Rootz Lot 10. The Passion for Fashion event specializes in bringing all professionals from the fashion and film industry together once a year for a glamorous night of networking and fun. The hype for the event has been building up since September this year with more than a thousand followers on its Facebook page. It is a party that everybody wants to be seen at and the limited guest list makes it even more exclusive. Everybody was dressed to the nines and just waiting to be showered by blinking flash-bulbs for the whole night through.
First launching in 2009 it has become one of the most sought after fashion events with international appeal. The attendance of top international models, directors, actors, photographers, hosts, celebrities, agencies, producers and editors to name a few are one of the things that make it the single most powerful networking event for someone aspiring to break into the industry. The agents were talent-scouting in the crowd, the models were trying to get their next job, writers were trying to get insiders scoop about the industry and of course others who were just there to have great time.
This year’s Passion For Fashion was hosted by Cay Kuijpers and Kiri Hartig from the USA with DJ Nikki DJ Mysty and DJ Crystal Q from Taiwan on the deck. Everyone was there including models– Leng Yein, Dian Sharlin, Wilson Tan, Kenzo and Peter Davis, catwalk guru–Carl Graham, TV presenter– Arthur Tan, designer–Ori Chiew who also showcased her collection that night and of course the man behind the successful event Josiah Mizukami.
It was our pleasure to be among the crowd of these beautiful people. We can’t wait for what’s in store for us for the next year’s event.
