W hen it comes to shirts, here’s the big question: To tuck in or not to tuck in? If the dresscode is formal, then we obviously suggest that it’s best you turn up neat, tidy and presentable – by tucking your shirt in. On the other hand, there’s a new trend stylistas have been parading–tucked in or even half-tucked in shirts.
These are not the starched shirts that feel stiff (and make you look stiff too!)…instead they’re the trendy new loose shirts–some sheer, some linen, some denim–but whatever it is, it gives you the vibe of: “I’m a confident, casual, cool chick who’s fuss-free, modern and trendy altogether”! If there’s one thing that many guys totally dig, it’s gotta be girls like these!
I’ve never thought that tucking in an oversized shirt would look good, but take one glance at these beautiful pics and you’d know for sure that it’s a pretty darn fan look! So…tucked or half-tucked into shorts and pleated skirts? Yeah, that sound doable, however, try a skinny bottom and it would work just as amazing too.
Now do bear in mind, according to youlookfab: “Tucking in a top shortens your torso visually. If you have a longer than average torso, this creates balance. If you have a shorter than average torso, it will look even shorter. So people who have short torsos to begin with will generally look better with un-tucked tops.” We suggest you try this look with a variety of loose shirts and bottoms and see what works best for your body shape!
