Burberry partnered with The Serpentine Gallery on their annual fundraising event, The Summer Party, which took place in London on the 28th of June, coinciding with the unveiling of Serpentine Gallery Pavilion, designed by architect Peter Zumthor. The swanky, star-studded event was attended by celebrities like Ewan McGregor, Bianca Jagger and Jensen Button, and Burberry ad campaign models Lily Donaldson, Amber Anderson and Jake Cooper, amongst others. Artists like Dino Chapman, Peter Blake, and Jonathan Yeo brought a distinctly artistic feel to the event, which only makes sense as proceeds from The Summer Party goes directly to The Serpentine’s contemporary art, architecture, design, education and public programmes! In addition to THAT, Burberry has a long standing association with the arts: developing, supporting and nurturing creative talent and providing a platform for their work to reach a wider audience.
In the picture above, you can see the gallery in the background with the party in full swing. Guests were entertained with live performances by
One Night Only,
Life In Film,
Misty Miller,
and The Crookes!
With art, fashion and music all coming together, this event was most definitely a celebration of what makes life, LIFE. As you can see below, each performer recorded a music video for the event, labelled Burberry Acoustics. Well worth a listen!
