F inding a long que at the cinemas? That’s because Tranformers 3 has hit the big screens. Shia LaBeouf returns as Sam Witwicky in the third instalment of the Transformers movie franchise and alas, I am sad to say I was most disappointed. Why? Read on below….

Transformers 3: Dark Of The Moon takes off where the second movie left off. This time, Sam Witwicky, fresh out of college and looking for a job while living with his new girlfriend Carly. This time, the movie dives into the dark secret of the Autobots and Decepticons’ history, and how they came to be on earth.  But when a something is discovered in Russia, it looks like the war between the Decepticons and the Autobots might happen once again – this time with earth being ground zero.

Given how good the last two movies were, it would be natural for one to expect that the third instalment of the movie is going to be just as good what with all the hype that was surrounding it. Sadly, this movie is just living proof that even the best movies can disappoint you.

I know Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg are quite possible two of the few best directors in the world, but watching this movie, I really had to ask – what on earth happened here???

OK, I’ll admit that the CGI animation, graphics and actions scenes were quite good, but the storyline just…flat-lined is the only word I can think off. It was monotonous, draggy, and truth be told, there was hardly any story in there at all.

The movie was suppose to be about the war between the Decepticons and the Autobots, yet it was only during the last half of the movie were there any real fighting and action scenes, and that too seemed to be a bit overdone after a while. In fact, the movie actually came off seeming a little long winded with a lot of unnecessary bits added in to it.

There’s nothing much to say about the script either, because the movie’s storyline is nothing to shout about in the first place. There was no substance or depth to the movie. At least there were some comedic bits in there to help save the audience from drifting off at some intervals and keep the interest going.

Overall, the worst movie out of all the three Transformers movies I would say. Still love Optimus Prime though.

Movie Rating: 2.5 Stars
