A peek into a woman’s purse can tell you a whole lot about her personality, girls just love packing all sorts of rubbish in there! If, however, you’re one of those girls who carry insanely heavy bags around but don’t seem to have anything when you need it, then here’s a list of things all girls MUST make room for in their purses!
1. Hand Sanitizer and Tissues
Let’s face it, the world is a dirty, disgusting place. Toilets are often gross and you tend to find yourself touching things that are questionable, hygiene wise. I prefer spray sanitizers because then you can spray them onto surfaces like toilet seats and taps before coming in contact with them. Tissues are a no-brainer, we all need them!
2. Sanitary Pads/ Tampons
You never know when your red friend might be visiting and you really don’t want to have to run to the pharmacy while out with a bunch of guys! Furthermore, it’s not always convenient to go out and get some so it’s always a good idea to have some handy.
3. Lip Balm
Cracked lips are not just unattractive, they’re also extremely uncomfortable! Licking them or drinking water will just make things worse because the water will evaporate off leaving your lips dryer than ever. So keep some lip balm in your purse, a tinted one would be great too if you want to brighten up your look every now and then!
4. Small Mirror
It’s always a good idea to carry a little hand mirror around. Surprisingly, not all rest rooms have mirrors! Every now and then you’ll just need to whip one out to check your appearance or touch up your makeup. If you cary a compact with a mirror then you can skip this, just as long as you have something reflective with you at all times!
5. Safety Pins
Things fall apart and you don’t want to walk around clutching your strap to your dress! Enough said!
6. Mints/ Gum
In my opinion, bad breath is bad manners because the people around you have to put up with it too! Also handy to keep with you incase someone around you has bad breath!
7. Hairbands/ Hair Scrunchies
I don’t know about you but I always find myself burning hot and needing to put my hair up then getting frustrated because I don’t have a hair tie of some sort in hand. So slip one into your purse right now! You’ll never know when you need to get your hair out of your face.
8. Eco-Friendly Shopping Bag
No Plastic Bag Saturdays aside, I think it’s about time all girls started carrying one of these foldable eco-friendly shopping bags in their purse. They’re now made to fold up into the tiniest little squares so you can’t use lack of space as an excuse! They’re super convenient and environmentally friendly!
Phones, keys, wallets and personal necessities (e.g. the makeup you wear or whatever) aside, this is pretty much what every single girl will find herself reaching for at one point or another. So clear out all that trash and make sure you carry around things you actually need!
