A healthy lifestyle isn’t exactly easy when you’re a busy student with way too many assignments and not enough time. However, you shouldn’t give up completely! There are actually a lot of ways to incorporate healthy living into your hectic schedule without sacrificing extra time or money! How? Simply read on for some easy to follow tips!

1. Take the Stairs

Try your best to take the stairs instead of the elevator whenever possible, like if you were only 1 or 2 floors away. It gives you some much needed exercise and can actually help you get to class faster as you won’t have to wait for ages for the lifts to arrive at your floor!

2. Carry a Water Bottle

Get yourself a nice, convenient little bottle that you can keep in your bag and take everywhere with you. That way, even if you have to rush from class to class, you can still keep your body hydrated. This isn’t just great for health it’s great for your skin too!

3. Wake Up Earlier Instead of Sleeping Later

Many stay up until wee hours of the morning to complete our assignments, that really messes up your circadian cycle thus affecting your health! Of course the best thing to do would be to keep track of your work so you wouldn’t have to do anything last minute, but that isn’t always the easiest thing to do. So if that fails, go to sleep earlier and set your alarm for 5am in the morning and wake up to complete your work. Your body would naturally adjust better to waking up earlier and your circadian cycle will be much less affected.

4. Drink Tea Instead of Coffee

I understand that you need some caffeine in your system every once in awhile, for that little energy boost. But coffee simply isn’t the healthiest option, plus it stains your teeth! Why not switch to tea instead? Tea has enough caffeine to wake you up but is also packed full of antioxidants that are great for your body! I suggest either green tea or English breakfast as these 2 types of tea energize you for the day ahead!

With the simplest little adaptations, you’d make your everyday routine so much more beneficial to your overall health. Try it! You’ll definitely feel the difference!
