T he thing about relationships is, sometimes it can be difficult where trust is concerned. As much as we would like to believe we can always trust the person we are with, sadly that is not always the case sometimes.
Some partners just cannot be trusted, and if you happen to suspect that your boyfriend or girlfriend may be cheating or lying to you, these are some signals you can watch out for:
- Pay Attention: The thing about people who tend to lie is, sooner or later they will slip up. No matter how good they think they are, they will never get away with it for long. It could be a small detail that just gives them away, and your job is to pay attention to everything your partner may be telling you so if they do slip up on the details, you’ve got your sign.
- Watch Their Body Language: People who are telling a lie tend to be defensive, whether they realize it or not. Even if their voice doesn’t give them away, their subconscious body language will. If they fold their arms, seem nervous or jumpy, fidget a lot while telling you something, most likely they may be lying.
- Defensive: Those who are lying tend to get defensive when you start to question them. If they get visibly upset when you try to prod for more details or seem to question their story, they are likely to get visibly upset for the littlest things and become defensive.
- Eye Contact: One of the most common giveaways that someone is lying is that they try to avoid eye contact
