I f there is one universal complaint that the working youth of today have is the lack of money. For some reason, we never seem to have enough money and we find ourselves broke before the end of the month is up.
How do we survive until the next paycheck comes? By employing little saving tips and tricks that we can use every day while at work to help us save a few bucks here and there:
- Pack Your Own Food: Eating out can burn a bigger hole in our pockets than we realize. Instead of spending money buying outside food (which is not necessarily the healthiest option anyway) why not pack your own breakfast and lunch from home? It’s healthier, cheaper and will save you a lot more than you realize at the end of the month.
- Avoid Cabs If You Can Help It: Cabs can cost you quite a bit, especially when you’re stuck in a jam. If you are able to, walk to your destination wherever possible. It’s a good way to get some extra exercise and you’ll save some money in the process.
- Set A Daily Budget: Set a daily budget and a limit you are allowed to spend each day and stick to it. Having a fixed budget will remind you not to overspend and help you stick to your saving plan better.
- Leave Unnecessary Cash At Home: If you carry a lot of cash with you daily, you are more likely to overspend without realizing it. If possible, try leaving any unnecessary cash you have at home and bring with you only what you need to survive for the day.
