T he only reason this movie is going to make money is because it has two A-List stars in it. Seriously. Sorry, but this is movie really did not do anything for me and it was mediocre, to say the least. The way the plot and storyline of the movie is suppose to go – and the two major star power actors in it – you’d expect more from this movie but that wasn’t the case at all.

Johnny Depp stars as Frank Tupelo, an American tourist who is suddenly thrust into romance and danger all in one when he comes upon a seemingly chance encounter with an intriguing young woman, Elise Clifton-Ward (Angelina Jolie) on a train ride to Venice, Italy. Not knowing that the encounter was actually a deliberate one, Frank is suddenly thrust into danger and finds himself running for his life.

You would think that a movie with Depp and Jolie in it would be a recipe for success. And it may have been, if it were a different kind of movie. I don’t know what it is about this movie, but it really didn’t hold my interest at all.

On the Brightside, the location and sceneries were good. And Depp and Jolie really do seem to have good chemistry on screen. But other than that, the plot was bland, the storyline was so-so, and we’ve all definitely seen Depp and Jolie in far better movies than this.

All I can say is Johnny, you best role was still in Pirates of the Caribbean to me.

This one gets a two and a half star rating.
