M -Missoni was recently launched at The STARHILL Gallery. It was a young hippier version of Missoni knits with some departure from their signature patterns and moveing into tweed like Chanel like boxy jackets and prints. Still it is a fun label suitable for anyone who is still young at heart. It is about mixing and matching after all as demonstratedby Datuk Ruby Yeoh. Event was officiated by Datuk Ruby Yeoh and Datuk Jimmy Choo as guest of honour.
Missoni have always taken knits- known more for old and frumpy and glamourising it.
Quicky tips on knits:
1) Focus on layering, but make sure it does not bulk you up.
2) It is all about texture -so mix heavy and light , smooth and knots
3) If you are feeling confident -go for cling; on a shaky day- overize and coveralls surely will knock ‘em off their feet
4) Play on colours- black is always good, but colours will transform you
5) Use more make up- so you don’t look like you just woke up
6) Accesorise, accessorise, accessorise- chunky bracelets, necklace, belts, scarves or dramatic boots
