W e are all familiar with Benefit, their super cute product names, high quality makeup and amazingly adorable packaging! These are the kind of products that girls splurge on during a retail therapy session because they just make you feel so good! But are all their products 100% effective? Read on for a review of some of their most popular!

1. Benetint

Now this is a product I can vouch for. It’s a lip and cheek stain made of real rose petals! The smell is amazing! It works really well, too. Apply three strokes over each cheek and blend to achieve a natural blush that glows from within. I also love using this under my lips before a red lipstick to make the color more vivid and longer lasting. Very effective!

2. Bad Girl Eyeliner

This eyeliner was a bit of a disappointment, I must admit. It is a really lovely black, very pigmented. The pen is thick and the cutest hot pink, very easy to get a good grip of. It glides on very smoothly, too. Sadly, it smudges so easily! After an hour or so it just spreads all over my eyelid! Not a good look! For those of you who, like me, have already purchased this liner, I would suggest you use it as a base under your eyeshadow when creating a smokey eye look to intensify your eyeshadow. It works really well as a base but it simply isn’t a good liner!

3. Get Even

d

Get Even is a compact powder which is supposed to even out your skin tone by neutralizing the redness. I must say, it works really well! The redness of blemishes fade significantly. It provides quite a lot of coverage even though it’s not actually a foundation. The finish is great, too. The powder is soft and smooth and does not cake your face. I suppose the only complaint I could have is that there aren’t a lot of colors to choose from, only three! That makes it very hard for those with skin tones that are in between the colors available.

4. Dr. Feel Good

c

Now this was a product I definitely would not recommend. It is a face balm that is supposed to smoothen the skin and provide a matte finish. The packaging is nice enough, a cute little tin with a lush sponge. The product, however, has a strong chemical-like lemon scent which is very overpowering. I have tried this product without makeup, under makeup AND over makeup and it does not work! I looks great upon application, like your skin is glowing from within, but it gets ugly quick! By the end of the hour you’d shine like crazy and by the end of the day there would be a clear layer of oil over your makeup! I’ve googled reviews on this product and so many people have said the same thing about it. It’s so awful I can’t even think of an alternative usage for it!

5. Talk to The Tan

e

Finally, I have a bronze facial tint. I absolutely adore this! It comes in a simple slim tube in cute colors and smells lovely, though the scent may perhaps bother some people. The texture is smooth and thin, it spreads and blends easily to give you a natural glowing tan but yet feels like you’re wearing nothing at all! I’ve used this under my foundation as well as over and it works great both ways. Sometimes I even use it as a liquid/cream bronzer to contour my face instead of just spreading it all over. A very effective product that is light and does not cause the skin to break out!

So those are my reviews and suggestions on these five Benefit products. All in all, a great cosmetics brand. Of course what worked for me may not work for you and vice versa, so do not hesitate to hop on over to one of their makeup counters for some professional help!
