R eebok’s new and innovative training shoes, ZigTech, not only looks funky, it also is a great training shoe. It transfers energy from one zig-zag to the next to create a wave of energy propelling you forward with every step, making training more efficient. It is the ultimate training shoe – it reduces wear and tear of key leg muscles by up to 20% allowing athletes to work harder for longer.

Your shin muscles benefit from up to 20% less wear and tear as they are worked less. Shin splints are a very common injury in running and training. Reebok ZigTech allows hamstring muscles to work 6% less. Less muscle activation allows you to train longer and harder without the risk of wear and tear.

The shoe is lightweight, flexible and fuses energy return with the ultimate in cushioning. The unique geometry of the sole with the wave shape houses a one-of-a-kind functional purpose of energy return. The zig-zag shaped sole works like a slinky, passing energy through itself to propel it forward. The ZigTech transfers energy from one zig-zag to the next to create a wave of energy propelling you forward with every step, making training more efficient. The energy is transfered horizontally along the zig-zags so it is returned in the forefoot.

ZigTech shoes are available at the Reebok Concept Boutique at 1 Utama, Stadium, Studio R and Royal Sporting House. Prices range from RM369 to RM399.
