Bimba and Lola recently opened their third Malaysian boutique in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur to a huge responsive crowd and a glitzy fashion show. The theme of the night being black and gold saw many celebrities like Elaine Daly, Deanna Yusof and emcee of the night, Daphne Iking clad in smoking black and gold accessories from the Spanish label’s latest collection. The Spanish ambassador in Malaysia, His Excellency, Mr. Jose Baranano and his lovely wife were present to officiate to opening of the Bimba and Lola boutique.
When the reception ended outside the boutique ended, we were ushered into the store for a look before proceeding upstairs to the 6th floor for the Bimba and Lola fashion show. There, a makeshift runway had been set up for with seats all around for guests.
Without much delay, models began strutting their stuff down the catwalk clad in Bimba and Lola’s latest collection of warm tonal seperates, lightweight annoraks, and slouchy carryalls as well as lightweight suitcases.

The stage all lit up in pretty shades of purplish pink
Daphne Iking who was emcee for the night was clad in form-fitting jeans, booties and a tough leather jacket
It started off with a breezy, cotton dress with buttons worn like a shirt dress
A casual combination with brighter colours of tangerine and lemon yellow with khaki make for a comfortable, summer outfit
Paisley floral dresses ala Laura Ashley were also very much the rage. Wear it tough with some boots of casual with a pair of metallic sandals
Paired with wedges, this work-type outfit with a light blazer can be worn on the weekend. At work, the combination is just right on those days where you don’t have to visit clients
